Climate Smart Wheat


NWGG is a partner in a grant program accepted under the USDA's "Partnerships for Climate Smart Commodities" where we, along with our partners, are committed to promoting wheat grown in the PNW by growers who are either new-or-existing adopters of carbon-positive farming methods. It is the only grant for PNW wheat growers that was accepted and we're proud to share it with our members.


Acreage enrollment for the coming crop has closed, but signups are still open for fall soil sampling, which will cover the following crop. If you missed the first signup, don't worry, this program will run for 5-years, and you'll be able to enroll at any point here.

Sorry, too short of time today to write anything of substance. Futures markets are down hard, but that felt like it was a few days coming. Weather maps are still the biggest thing to talk about, and they haven't changed much since Friday.
